Athletic Cushion Stripe Crew 8 Pairs Socks

I have purchased these socks on Amazon several times now, and the quality, comfort and durability is absolutely excellent. The "but" in my review is how quickly the color fades from a brilliant white to a tired, dirty looking gray! I followed the washing instructions and did not use chlorine bleach, and still after a couple of washings they they look years old. Any ideas or recommendations?

I browsed a LOT of tube socks of this nature, and finally picked these since the had the nicest colors. They're so nice and thick and comfortable! I get to live my little sporty 70s fantasy.
